Gold Oceanfront 2102

This was my first time at Colony Reef but we will be back! It was great!

Overall, we liked the area and location. Very convenient to what we wanted to do. The pool was nice and was also the unit was close to the beach. Our only complaint was the unit itself. The front door was very hard to open. The sliding door leading to the patio would not hardly open. Only myself and my son-in-law could muscle it open. Sent management emails the day we arrived and did not get anything done about it until Thursday. Also, we noticed that the "bunk bed" room was hot. My grandsons would not sleep in the room. I initially thought the AC was not functioning very good but on our last day we found out the dry vent was blowing hot air into that room each time we ran the dryer. The room was also not very clean. There was a half bag of some kind of chips under the couch pillows and dirty dishes in the oven when we arrived. Due to the poor maintenance in this unit, I would not choose to stay at this location again.

We stayed at 2102 with our 2 children and a pair of grandparents. It was a comfortable layout for a group of 6. The inside was clean and stocked sufficiently for a 3 night stay. We would definetely stay again. The only major issue we had was with the sliding doors. One was nearly impossible to open and the other was a bit difficult as well. We put in a work order but it was not attended to during our short stay. Also be aware of the porch area, we found several brown widows and egg cases on the outdoor furniture-- not unusual for Florida but something not everyone would know to watch out for.

I had a great month at Colony Reef. The beach location is perfect and the condo was clean, bright, and well equipped. The staff is great. They work at keeping their prices affordable and are always responsive. It couldn’t be better.

We enjoyed our stay and would return. However the unit could have been cleaner. Hair and sand in master shower, kitchen floor sandy, coffee pot not clean.

So overall I was pretty dissatisfied with this particular condo. We arrive there is still sand everywhere on the floor. The bathroom sinks leak while running and towel hangers are missing. The front door almost fell off of the hinges first day. We tightened, but had to have the maintenance crew come repair. The maintenance crew was fast to respond. We didn’t want to mention all of the concerns, as we are on vacation and didn’t want the maintenance crew to be there every day. I would recommend a bug service. As we are watching tv, there was brown widows hanging out under the lamp holder in the living room, and a roach ran across the floor. If you have a big family I would recommend bringing a few large pans, since your cooking utensils are kind of limited. We grew up at colony reef club. My family came the same week every year growing up. The atmosphere is still the same, location is good. I would not recommend this particular condo. I think it could meet the requirements of a silver. The person who took the photos edits very well, of they are outdated. We had family staying at another gold condo and it was very well organized and updated.

As for Unit 2102: Convenient access to the pool and Beach on 1st floor. The inside was comfortable and updated with plenty of room for our family. Had an issue with A/C but was fixed same day. The Outside of unit needs updating. Nothing good to say about patio...Outdated grill/rusted; patio furniture old / dingy; no table to enjoy outside dining and screen patio door didn't slide; Sliding door outdated

Love location, the unit had a few maintenance problems, and furniture wasn’t placed where the photos showed, which kept ocean views blocked.

The condo was clean and well maintained! Location was wonderful. Was able to walk right out the back doors and go to the board walk and right to the beach. Had plenty of room for our family. Ready check in and felt secure staying there. The carts provided for unpacking was very helpful as well. A Great place to stay.

The location was good. However, the condo was a big disappointment. From the broken screen door to cheetos on floor. It was extremely filthy. We couldn't even use the outdoor patio because of how old and dirty the furniture was. One bedroom was like a closet with bunk beds firm as wood. Dryer fumes go into that room. The other bunk bed top bed felt like it was going to collapse. The coffee pot, utensils, and stove couldn't be used due to filth. We will never rent that condo again.

The layout of the unit us nice. There are lots of spiders on the patio and there is no fan so it is hard to enjoy the porch after sun down because of bugs and spiders.
Access to the beach is awesome and the boardwalk has been rebuilt so it is very easy to access!

This condo is in the absolute best location!
Bottom floor made it easy to wheel our wagon straight to the beach. Beach was not crowded at all! Heated indoor pool was fantastic during rainy hours. This was a great place for kids and families.

This is our second time staying at Colony Reef. We love the complex and location. We did have an issue with the cleanliness of the unit upon checkin. We contacted the front desk immediately and they made arrangements with us to rectify the issue. The first floor location is great and love the easy access to the pool/beach. The kitchen could be better equipped for those wishing to cook verse going out. We made did with what was available. The patio furniture needs to be updated. The PVC loungers were hard and not something to relax in. We ended up using our beach chairs we brought from home on the patio. Would be nice to have a nice table to enjoy dinners outside. Overall we love the location and would stay in this unit again.

We had a wonderful time in 2102 over the holiday weekend. The condo was clean and had a beautiful view of the sunrise every morning. the resort staff were extremely helpful and catered to our every need. We would definitely recommend staying at Colony Reef to all of our out of town guests.

We love staying at Colony Reef Club. The pool is great and love the location to the beach. The ladies at the desk were great. The condo was ok, it is a bit outdated and needs a refresh. The location is great, steps to the pool and beach. There was no broom, couldn't sweep up the sand. The cleaning crew did not do a good job, the patio furniture had cob webs and needs to be replaced, crumbs on the toaster, and the refrigerator was not wiped clean, the coffee maker still had grounds from the last people. The master bed was not comfortable, you sunk into it. We will try another unit next year.

We had the best time in the condo. The condo was exactly as described online. It was very clean and had plenty of towels and sheets for us to use. We had no problems during the whole week. The condo was right on the beach and we literally walked off the patio and straight to the boardwalk or the pool. It honestly was a great location and perfect for our low-key beach vacation.

The only issue that we had were nights when we tried to get take out. All restaurants near our location would not accept take out orders so we were forced to drive a bit further than we wanted to get dinner those nights. But this is not the condo's fault just an aspect of trying to vacation and maintain social distancing rules.

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much.
