Rooms need updating. Beds are horrible and the a/c smells moldy. The floors in the room were Sandy and the back patio door will break your toes if your not careful.

Great views and wonderful patio furniture. Master shower pressure is excellent. Now on to the rest of the review.

Unit 1401 is...not good. Cheap, ugly furniture. No worthwhile accessories like blankets or throw pillows. Complete lack of attention to detail: harsh, bright light bulbs. No area rugs, so everything is always sandy all the time. We added several small items to make it somewhat livable for a couple of weeks - laundry baskets, extra hangers, baking sheets, better light bulbs.

Definitely wouldn’t rent this one again. If you do, know that you’re paying for the views and location and keep your expectations at rock bottom.

The management team was friendly, helpful, and quickly responsive to any of our maintenance needs and questions. The negative aspects of this review are no reflection on them or our overall opinion of Colony Reef Club, and only speak to the unit itself.

Everything you would want close by while staying here. Indoor and outdoor swimming pool, playground and ocean within a close walk. The sunrises and ocean view is beautiful from the balcony.
Saint Augustine is probably our favorite area on the Florida coast.
My family had a great time while staying here and the office staff went beyond expected to handle a small issue not in their control that could happen anywhere you stay. Thank you for a great stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at Colony Reef. It has become our beach "go-to" for extended stays. Well worth the added drive for us although Myrtle Beach SC is much closer.
1401 was in excellent shape, clean, great views, all mechanicals working although there was a slight flicker to the LR TV. It was reported and I am sure it will be fixed. The maintenance in this community is top-notch. Easy in, easy out, great unit, and on-site staff very helpful made for a great 1 week stay.

Overall a great condo with an amazing view. When we arrived the fridge was dirty and I had to wipe it down. There was mold in the master bathroom shower and the small front bedroom at the air vent, I went to Publix and bought some mildew spray and cleaned it myself. The microwave didn’t work, it was replaced on the 5 day we were there, but the new microwave didn’t work either- so no popcorn on movie night. Some lights were out in the kitchen and dining room- they were replaced on the third day of our stay. There were not any pot holders, or rugs in any of the bathrooms or kitchen. I went to the dollar general to get some pot holders so we could take things out of the oven we cooked. It was a quiet and peaceful condo, which I really enjoyed. Hopefully you can get those few things, and clean the condo ls better- because we love coming here every summer with our family.

We enjoyed our stay at Colony Reef. The condo was clean and spacious. Only problem we had was the dryer kept popping open and ok forever to dry a load. We were in a great area. Lots of restaurants and close to stores. We enjoyed our drive to downtown St Augustine (about 15mins). Would definitely recommend.

Very nice condo with an unbeatable view! We had a great stay for our girls trip! Loved the beach and the pool area. Condo it self was very nice for 4 of us but the kitchen area was very tight when you had more than one person in the kitchen. There were also very few amenities that we are used to like beach towels and only one kitchen towel, no hot pads or pitcher. Made for a bit of a challenge for our usual routines. Everything was in good repair.

We stay at colony reef every year and have stayed in this condo several times. The unit is definitely showing it’s wear and tear. We still had a great time but the bathroom cabinet was broken, the screen door was broken, several glasses were cracked and leaked. Also there were no bath mats or any in the linens. Colony reef is a great complex but not sure I’d stay in this unit again.

We have been coming to Colony Reef for over 35 years. This year was enjoyable but disappointing. We had reserved a condo then just a few days before our trip were told the owners needed the condo. If you are going to rent your condo and agree to a date it should be honored. We were with family and as a result we were not close to them. Sad.

This condo was in a perfect location on the beach, the property staff were extremely nice, the condo was in good shape and had everything you need. The pool and hot tub were great, and the beach was wide and flat.

Many rules posted! warning you will be fined. Recliner has holes in the leather. Elevator broken, i would fine them $100.00

This was a girl's trip we do yearly to the cities near where we live. We are all adult professionals almost ready for retirement and wanted a relaxing place with oceanfront views. The balcony on the 4th floor was amazing with nice chairs and plenty of space to sit and catch up. However, that was the only spectacular quality. If we had a room on the second or third floor there would not have been a view. The only room in the condo with a view was the master and the living room. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty and there were long hairs left in the master shower and hanging from a cabinet knob. The couch was very comfortable for TV watching but staff failed to notify us WiFi was available and we found the password on day 2 on a note on the side of the refrigerator. It was a short drive to many restaurants and businesses. We will not return to this particular property in the future.

This was a long weekend get-a-way for our family of 3 couples. We loved the location of the community and that we chose an ocean front unit away from the pool. Plenty of space. Kitchen had enough for our stay. We did have some water issues with air in the pipes and the elevator broke when we were moving our cart up. The ripped recliner probably should be replaced. However, it was just the peace we needed from the past year and really enjoyed Colony Reef Club. We would most definitely recommend and also consider a return visit!

first thing, it was so clean- very important these days. I was on the 4th floor with the perfect view of the beach. A little walk to actually get to beach but worth it. Quiet- rooms were made very well- heard no other visitors. Lots of restaurants to choose from and publix nearby if you wanted to cook. Easy drive to st.augustine Loved our vacation!

Colony Reef is one of my favorite places to stay for vacation in St. Augustine. The entire staff is the best over there and the views are spectacular of the ocean. I will be coming back for sure :)

I have been coming to Colony Reef for 40 years. My grand parents used to take me as a child and now I am taking my children. For a family of 7, it's tough to beat the price for a great beachfront vacation.

We had a great stay during our week long vacation! We were able to fly our kites (we have about 75+) during our stay! We love Colony Reef & have stayed at other properties previously... we find the staff and accommodations FIRST RATE & book year after year! Thanks for making our kite flying week so awesome!

We absolutely loved our time at this amazing condo. This was our first visit and won’t be our last. The condo was spacious and could easily accommodate 6 people. That would be without using the living room couch. The check in and check out was so easy. It’s extremely family oriented and very peaceful and quiet! Thank you for an amazing vacation for me and my family!!

I always love staying over at Colony Reef when I’m on vacation. The view was spectacular and the condos are very nice along with having such an awesome staff to make my visit such a great experience.

We had a wonderful time at Colony Reef over spring break. The condo was perfect, beautiful view of the beach, and very convenient to the beach and pool. We definitely hope to go back.

Colony Reef Club is one of the best places to stay over in Crescent Beach! The view was absolutely beautiful from the condo and the entire place is kept up and not overly crowded. Both of the condos I stayed at were very clean and had a lot of room. Also the staff is very nice and easy to work with on checking in and helping out in anyway. I highly recommend staying there and plan on making it one of my main vacation getaways!

My husband and I spent 10 days at Colony Reef Club. We had a top floor unit that was ocean front. The view was wonderful!! The master bedroom bed was not as comfy as I would have liked but I have had 2 back surgeries and I am very picky. The unit was very clean but somewhat outdated and needed some freshening up. The kitchen was not stocked too well but we ate out a lot so that was ok. Overall it was a good experience and we would rent there again. Very convenient location and the view made it a good beach rental.

We had an Amazing stay at Colony Reef, our 3 year there! Can't beat the pool and ocean access and overall value. We loved our ocean front condo, clean and updated. Quiet and private deck with ocean front view. Thanks Colony Reef!

This was our first stay staying at Colony Reef and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our room (1401) was the perfect setup. We loved that it was on the end, kind of tucked away. That let us be able to sit on our balcony and not feel like we were on display to the rest of the resort. We had beautiful ocean front views. The pool was perfect and it was so nice to have the ocean breeze while at the pool. The only change I would suggest would be to install a ceiling fan on the balcony. We noticed that some other rooms had them but ours did not. It would have made it a little more enjoyable to sit and relax during the day on the balcony. We will definately be returning next year and we hope to secure the same room.

Condo 1401 is a great location on the end and south corner of the complex for quiet relaxation when in the condo with amenities around the corner. The patio offers a beautiful view of the ocean for eating, reading or just relaxing. Linens and kitchen utensils were all provided; however, you will need to bring your own paper products, laundry essentials, garbage bags and beach towels/equipment. The master bed is a little firm for my taste. The reclining sectional in the living room looks out directly to the ocean. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. I will definitely consider booking this particular condo again.
